We welcome technology

Students are encouraged to bring their tablets, laptops and or cell phones to the after school program. We will use technology in many of our lessons. If your student does not have any electronics to bring, your student may borrow or rent one from MLA.

Meet the Founder

As an educator, Dr. Niesha Ham-McMillian fell in love with watching her students grow and excel. They were successful in passing state required standardized tests but she wanted more for her students.

Dr. Ham-McMillian, the daughter of a USMC veteran, created Marnie LEADS Academy to promote leadership, financial literacy and entrepreneurship.

Students enrolled in the program will be equipped with the tools and training necessary to become leaders and pillars in the community.
